Chief Operating Officer

Based in Vancouver, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will serve as an integral member of the executive team who is directly responsible to the CEO for leading the execution of a broad range of activities across operations, finance and strategy. The COO oversees the company’s day-to day and quarter-to-quarter operations with a view to the operational and financial management of the back-office functions of the business globally. The COO will provide organizational leadership which supports the firm’s vision and will collaborate with the senior management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of the organization. The functional departments reporting into this position include Accounting, HR, Marketing, IT and Administration in Vancouver and globally. The COO will also check on the effectiveness and productivity of governance processes and of the team responsible for improving Ardenton’s operating businesses.

As well as a CPA designation and a university degree (MBA preferred), the successful candidate will have 10+ years of demonstrated success in a financial and administrative leadership, senior management level role. Known as a strong leader, team builder and change driver and enabler with solid financial and operational management experience, you have sound business and financial acumen and in-depth knowledge of Operations, HR, IT, Marketing, data and administrative management. Experience in a highly regulated environment and in a multi-company environment would be a definite asset. The COO role requires a rigid attention to detail and strong analytical skills to address dynamic business challenges. As well a strong results and operational focus, an ability to excel leading in a fast-paced growth environment is required.  Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to present information, to manage the cross-functional integration of activities and to build employee alignment with company goals are critical.  The innate ability to solve problems and a natural drive to focus on continuous improvement will set the stage for success in this role.
