Vice President Finance

Based in Vancouver and reporting directly to the COO, the Vice President, Finance is a member of the executive team, and is responsible for leading the execution of a broad range of activities cross financial reporting, cash flow management, management reporting and compliance. The VP Finance will provide financial leadership which supports the firm’s vision and demonstrates a commitment to execution planning and implementation of company strategies. The role will collaborate with the senior management team to develop and implement plans for the financial infrastructure of systems (systematization), processes and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of the organization. Specific responsibilities include overseeing the Accounting department including financial and management reporting, financial controls, financial planning, budgeting, general accounting, tax planning, payroll, and management of insurance and benefits. The VP Finance will also oversee global structuring and the production of due diligence material, and will work with the fund raising group structuring debt instruments.

As well as a CPA designation and a university degree (MBA preferred), the successful candidate will have 10+ years of demonstrated success in a financial leadership, senior management level role with demonstrated success and related experience. Known as a strong leader, you will have solid business and financial acumen and strong technical and analytical abilities as well as in depth knowledge of and experience with financial and management reporting and process improvement. An ability to excel in a fast-paced growth environment is required.  Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to manage the cross-functional integration of activities and to build employee alignment with company goals. A strategic thinker who places a high value on relationships, sees the big picture and is comfortable operating at a hands-on level will excel in this environment.  The innate ability to solve problems and focus on continuous improvement will set the stage for success in this role.
