Our client, Harvest One, is an early-entry global cannabis company focused on servicing both the medical and recreational cannabis markets, in Canada and internationally. Harvest One serves as the umbrella company over the horticultural arm United Greeneries and the medical arm Satipharm AG. Each business is strategically located in favorable jurisdictions with supportive regulatory frameworks in place. United Greeneries has received a Canadian medicinal cannabis cultivation and sales license, making Harvest One one of the few companies globally with the capacity to commercially cultivate and sell cannabis in a federally regulated environment. They are looking for a:

 Chief Operating Officer

Reporting to the CEO, the COO will be responsible for all operational aspects of the organization. The COO will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company by working with the CEO and the executive management team to establish and execute on short and long-range goals, strategies and plans. In an emerging, fast-moving, and developing industry, the COO will be a driving force in production, distribution, and marketing of Harvest One’s products, establishing market share through multiple distribution channels in a complex and increasingly competitive business environment will be crucial.

The successful candidate will be a strategic and entrepreneurial thinker with excellent relationship-building skills, business acumen and foresight.  Experience in bringing a product from development stage, to production, to market is required. Previous history in the liquor or tobacco business with regards to provincial licensing, approvals, compliance interprovincially would prove valuable. The ability to see the big picture while still drilling down to the details, the capacity to assess and read the market will be essential to succeed in this role. A strong leadership style of delegating, mentoring, and team building is required.
