With over 220 staff and four offices throughout the Lower Mainland, Canstar has grown into one of the largest restoration services companies in Western Canada. Privately held, including a national private equity firm shareholder, they are experiencing transformational growth. They are looking for a:

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Reporting to the President and Board of Directors, the CFO will be a key member of the executive team and will work closely with the Board, including the private equity investor, on growth strategy and execution, business performance and business improvement. This experienced CFO will be strategic as well as hands on and will be responsible for business planning, directing and controlling all financial affairs of the organization and information technology. The CFO will be the catalyst in a company looking for growth organically and from acquisition.

The successful candidate will be a strategic and entrepreneurial thinker with excellent relationship building skills, business acumen, an interest in operations and a proven understanding of the key factors that drive profit. A CPA designation with 10+ years of experience in a senior financial position in a high-growth company is required. Acquisition and integration experience is highly desirable. Exceptional communication skills to present financial results and options in a clear, concise manner and the confidence to bring ideas and observations to the table will be expected. The ability to see the big picture while still drilling down to the details and the capacity to assess and address risk will be essential to succeed in this role. A strong leadership style of delegating, mentoring, team building and allowing team members the room to perform will pave the path to success.
