Director, Wealth Strategy

Prospera is seeking a motivating and values based, results-oriented leader with a demonstrated ability to develop strategies and to translate strategies into tactical plans to join their team in the newly created role of Director, Wealth Strategy.

Reporting to the Vice President, Family Banking and Wealth Management, The Director, Wealth Strategy is responsible for effectively developing strategies, objectives and business plans for wealth management including growth objectives, sales platforms, product development and succession plans to meet the long-term objectives of the credit union. The Director, Wealth Strategy is integral in creating an environment focused on providing a high standard of service, advice, and compliance while achieving sales and revenue objectives. The Director, Wealth Strategy coaches and mentors the Senior Manager, Wealth and Financial Planning, and provides oversight for the coaching of mutual fund and life insurance licensed staff. The role is based in the corporate office in Abbotsford.

To be considered for this role you will have a minimum of seven years’ experience in an MFDA or IIROC wealth practice and experience in a leadership role. You will have a Bachelor degree or diploma in related discipline as well as a mutual funds licence or Canadian Securities Course. You will also have a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and an LLQP Life Licence. CLU, CPCA, and EPC would be assets.

You have a strong demonstrated understanding at the strategic level of the sales environment including business development, product development, the sales process, and sales coaching and training. You enjoy challenges and achieving results that will benefit others; to that end you have outstanding strategic and planning skills and a track record of successful implementation.
