They are currently well into the planning stages to redevelop the 50-acre Lansdowne Mall site they have owned for many years. They are developing a masterplan that will guide the phase redevelopment of Lansdowne Mall.  The vision for the plan is to establish a vibrant heart for downtown Richmond in a transit-oriented, sustainable, mixed-use and residential community with generous public amenities for both the new residents and the City of Richmond at large.  The project will see development of 4.5 million square feet of new floor area, including over 700,000 square feet of new retail and office space and 3.8 million square feet of residential floor area. They are looking for a:

Chief Executive Officer

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO will be responsible for all aspects of operations, planning and development of the property. The CEO will manage the long-term project planning and project management of each component of the masterplan including partnering with other developers who may acquire and develop specific parcels within the masterplan.  He or she will act Vanprop’s primary external ambassador on real estate issues with a focus on building effective working relationships with the community, approval bodies, key external suppliers and customers.

The successful candidate will have 20+ years of real estate development experience ideally including sizeable urban masterplan projects.
