CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Premier Exhibitions Inc, a leading provider for historical and educational museum quality exhibitions, is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to join their leadership team. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer will play a critical role in the implementation and achievement of the company’s strategic goals and initiatives as well as being responsible for the implementing opportunities to improve the operations across the business in both the Vancouver, BC and Atlanta, US offices.

To be considered you should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior operations role, backed up by a Bachelor or Master degree in Business Management or Administration. Applicants with degrees in Museum Studies, Facility Operations or related fields are encouraged to apply. You will have experience in department, project and risk management, working with financial budgets, management of staff levels and local staffing requirements. A valid passport is also required, along with the capability and willing desire to travel.

The successful candidate will be an operationally oriented manager with a proven understanding of the effective organization of the business within all operations, including financial, human resources, administration, technology and facilities. Exceptional communication skills to present financial results and options in a clear, concise manner with the confidence to bring ideas and observations to the table will be expected. The ability to see the big picture while still drilling down to the details, the capacity to assess and address risk will be essential to succeed in this role. A strong leadership style of delegating, mentoring, team building and allowing team members the room to perform will be required.
