Director of IT

Our client, a successful food processor based in the Greater Toronto Area is seeking a Director of IT to join their leadership team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of IT will participate in the leadership of the overall business and lead all matters related to IT.  Working with the CEO and CFO they will develop and execute the IT strategy that supports the corporate goals and objectives.  The development of an IT Roadmap for the company, and ensuring the leadership team has the information, tools, and KPI’s is critical.

The successful candidate will have 10+ years’ experience in the IT industry with at least 5 years as an IT Director or IT Consultant for a company with at least $50MM in revenues.  They will have managed internal IT teams, and outside vendors and suppliers.  They will ensure the organization has sufficient quality resources to complete IT projects on time and on budget.  Experience in a manufacturing environment is a requirement, in addition to a strong operational background.  You will have implemented enterprise class applications such as ERP, BI, CRM with project budgets exceeding $500K.

A Computer Science or Engineering education, in addition to a PMP designation is a requisite.  Experience with multi-location and multi-unit operations is preferred.  Your background and experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains, Navision, AX) and Microsoft/Network certification will be put to good use.  A strong leadership style of delegating, mentoring, and developing high performance teams will round out your resume.
